UAP LEDGER

Privacy Policy

Effective May 31, 2026

UAP Ledger (“we,” “us”) operates uapledger.com, an open database of declassified and public-record information about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. If you join our email list or use our contact form, we collect the email address, name, and message you provide.
  • Usage data (with your consent). If you accept cookies, we use Google Tag Manager and related analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). These tools may set cookies and collect an IP address.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request data (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and reliability.

How we use it

  • To send you the updates you requested, and to respond to your inquiries.
  • To measure and improve the site (only if you consent to analytics cookies).
  • To maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (email signup, analytics cookies) and our legitimate interests (operating a secure, functional website). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted processors to run the site. They only handle data as needed to provide their service:

  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
  • Supabase — database for the public record content.
  • Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) — usage analytics, only after consent.
  • GoHighLevel — email list and contact-form management.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics cookies load only after you click “Accept” in our cookie banner. You can change your choice by clearing your browser’s site data, which will show the banner again, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

Data retention

We keep email-list and contact data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider’s standard periods.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and (in California) to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email us at contact@uapledger.com. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Effective” date above.
